Earthwork Application: Excavation application is made on the land in accordance with the architectural project and accompanied by the coordinates brought by the survey engineer.
Earthmoving Excavation is done according to the application. For this purpose, construction equipment suitable for the ground is selected. A 24 tonne excavator with a breaker was used on this site.
Transport of excavation: The rubble and rocks from the excavation are loaded onto the lorry and disposed of in the areas designated by the municipality.
Gravel and drainage works under the foundation: The coarse soil on the excavated ground is scraped and levelled with gravel. Special drainage pipes are laid for drainage in the gravel. In order for the drainage pipes to drain the groundwater, attention is paid to their slope. In order to do this process properly, the gravel thickness should not be less than 18 cm.
Gravel levelling and grouting under the foundation: The gravel laid is levelled. Moulds levelled with a level are placed around the gravel and grocrete casting is started. Grout thickness should be 10 cm. Pay attention to how the drainage pipes are covered so that the grout does not block the drainage pipes.
Insulation preparations under the raft foundation: Before the raft foundation construction, a brick mould/wall is built on the borders of the foundation in order to be able to make the underfoundation bunding insulation and to form the insulation of the foundation sides and the foundation formwork at the same time. The dimensions of this wall are determined according to the raft foundation boundaries. Its height is 5-6 cm higher than the raft foundation thickness. This 5-6 cm excess is required for insulation protection concrete.
Backfilling and compaction: The backfill made with suitable material in the cavity inside the subbase walls should be saturated with water before compaction with compactor in order not to create a cavity afterwards.
Compactor compaction: The backfill which has reached approximately 20% moisture content is compacted with a compactor.
Subgrade level welded grout: Gravel is laid on the compacted backfill after the completion of infrastructure works such as sewage installation. The task of this gravel is to protect the concrete and rebar by forming a layer between the grout and backfill material. Concrete with a thickness of 8-12 cm (in the class specified in the project) is poured on the gravel. The concrete class poured in this application is C25. It should be known that the poor quality of the grobet poured on the backfill may cause problems such as base collapse in the future.
Straw grobet pouring: The importance of the end elevation and the upper edges of the subgrade walls to be smooth can be seen in this photograph. It is necessary to pay attention to such tricks in advance for the ease and accuracy of grout levelling. If the elevation of the curtains is below the grobet level, it is statically dangerous for grobet to enter between the column sprouts and form an additional layer.
Brick wall productions: Brick wall application is made in accordance with the project of the reinforced concrete completed building. During this application, it should be ensured that the outer wall alignments of the building are in one direction from the foundation to the roof. In this way, unnecessary thick plastering is prevented due to minor deviations that may occur in reinforced concrete manufacturing, and a perfect appearance is obtained in terms of plumb and balance. A wall production planned in this way (holistically) provides both aesthetic success and economic savings.
Lintels and wall top fillings: The proportions between the length of the lintels above the window and the width of the window must be correct. After the entire wall construction is completed, the gaps remaining above the top row should be filled tightly with plaster.
Laying of interior walls: At the stage of laying interior partition walls, a row of brick walls should be laid first, checked by the technical application officers and project authors of the building and "consent" should be obtained from the building owner. Thanks to these approvals and consents, it will be possible to foresee the changes that may occur later and prevent waste of resources.
